About Us
Our private practice has served adults and students in various settings for over 40 years, providing speech and language therapy services that enhance communication development, regardless of physical or learning challenges. Helping individuals become successful communicators and lifelong learners in their schools, workplaces, and/or homes motivates our staff to stay current with neuroscience, technology, behavioral strategies, educational developments, and changes in the environments of our clients.
Our team collaborates closely with teachers, parents, and administrators in the school setting to integrate speech and language strategies into students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and the classroom. This flexible approach provides the most comprehensive service to the school system and best supports students in achieving their educational goals.
In the day habilitation setting, we work closely with developmental care specialists, program directors, and the interdisciplinary team to meet the needs of adults with developmental disabilities. Our goal is to provide treatment that will facilitate the development of functional communication skills. To meet this goal, we train all team members. We may use assistive augmentative communication strategies, including speech-generating devices, sign language, picture/ icon-based communication boards, and notebooks.
Our staff provides speech and language diagnostic and therapy services in the following settings:
- Schools at all grade levels, including preschools, special needs classes, vocational-technical schools
- Day Habilitation Programs
- Hospitals and long-term care facilities
